PB Nice Cream

  • A frozen Banana tossed into a blender

  • 1/3 to 1/2 of a cup of your milk of choice

  • A generous scoop of Santa Cruz Peanut Butter (this is my favorite peanut butter!)

  • Top with cashews and sea salt

There are literally a gazillion variations on nice cream out there that you can make. If you can get your hands on a jar of Pistachio butter, this is another favorite of mine.

Love maple pecan? That one is super easy just fresh pecans and maple syrup in the blender along with the frozen banana and milk of your choice. You get the idea. Here are a few more flavor combos:

  • Frozen raspberries and dark chocolate chunks

  • Fresh mint leaves and dark chocolate chunks

  • Hazelnuts and graham crackers

  • Marshmallows, walnuts and chocolate chunks

  • Frozen black cherries with cacao powder

  • Mango and pineapple banana frozen banana fluff

  • “Snickers” = a handful of dates mixed in with peanuts and chocolate chunks

What’s really cool about nice cream is how flexible you can be with the mix-ins. Make a big batch of plain nice cream and create a mini-ice cream bar with pineapple chunks, organic chocolate chips, a few marshmallows, crushed graham crackers and let the kids create their own.

Want to wow your guests? Make a sundae of 3 or 4 flavor combinations with fresh fruit and let the vibrant and natural colors speak for themselves. Be adventurous and try a lemon, strawberry and basil combo for a surprising palate cleanser.
